Dear Pistoff - I agree. Members of the 144,000 include men and women - hey -that means that women have some value doesn't it? If women can assist in ruling from the heavens - why not here on earth? A lot of the brothers want "stepford wives" - hence their chauvanistic attitude. Get out of the dark ages into the 20th (or even the 21st!) century!!! If it wasn't for the sisters there would be no JWs anyway because they make up two thirds of JWs.

Hello Ozziepost.
No doubt the WTB&TS cringe when they read that old article - I don't suppose they would word it in quite the same way now - even if they still think that way!!
I also agree with another post that there are many more sisters in the congregations than brothers - I wonder why that is?

Thank you hawkeye for scanning in article. Very demeaning towards women as regards the brain size (obviously the views of an ignorant person). I am a member of MENSA with an IQ of 132 - according to the article however my brain is smaller and I am thus less intelligent. However the bible scriptures quoted do back up the article's main subject which is that women are in subjection to men. These days however things have changed because men cannot seem to be able to provide for women* and some have no qualms about leaving their wife and children to fend for themselves. Indeed these days women often work full time, pay the mortgage, run the house, do all the DIY and pay all the bills - all the men have to do is go to work!
*No offence intended to the superior sex!
